My 10 Year Plan

My plan for the next 10 years starts off with me heading to the college USC, short for “University of Southern California Los Angeles.” There I will go into Architecture and obtaining my bachelor's degree.Within my college years I’ll learn many real world skills that will prove useful in the future like managing money properly, investing, keeping track of health (what I eat, good sleep schedule, physical activity) I will also be attempting to keep my love of playing trumpet alive by playing in Jazz gigs. After I graduate I will be staying in California and apply to different Architecture firms, I will also keep doing Jazz gigs on the side when I have time. During this I’ll be saving up money to buy my own car and eventually a small home with a low cost so when I eventually have kids (not in 10 year plan) I have gained enough wealth to buy a big house around $500k-$700k. To conclude my overall goals are to get my bachelors degree in architecture, expand on my knowledge and play my trumpet through Jazz gigs and other events. Once I graduate I hope to become a well known, maybe even famous architect and trumpet player. Once I've amassed enough wealth I’ll settle down with a nice house and my dream car

College Choice

I’m planning on attending USC - “University of Southern California Los Angeles.” I’ll be majoring in architectural design. It will take around 5 years to receive my Bachelors, and after that I will attempt to get a PHD in architectural design.

How to Get a Bachelors Degree

Career Choice

The steps I’ll take to reach my goals of becoming an architect and well known trumpet are the following. For becoming an architect I will be heading to college to increase my knowledge in the subject by majoring in architectural design. I will apply for an internship during my studies. After I obtain my bachelors I will get my PHD. After all of my college studies I will be going into and applying to some architectural firms and get a job and work my way up to gain more money and get to work on large scale projects. The steps I’d take for becoming a well known Jazz trumpet player is by doing jazz giggs along with practicing, and soloing when I’m able to slowly making a name for myself.

The lifestyle being architect will provide is financial security along with long nights of working on the projects I’m assigned and allows for daily creative thinking, with jazz on the side it allows for me to enjoy my hobby and make money off of it as well as allow for my musical ideas to flow freely.

Personal Choice

I’d like to be located in Los Angeles California, I’ll live in a apartment relatively low cost one or maybe even a dorm fo my college life and after I graduate I will move to an apartment or if I already live in one I will move to a bigger one while saving up to buy a small home, and a Porsche Boxster. I’ll most likely be married when I own the small house and I won’t be having kids until I’m 28-30 (late 20’s or early 30’s is when I’ll have kids.) Other than being a well known or famous architect and a decently known maybe even famous trumpet player there aren't any other dreams other than to provide for my future family and enjoy my life being physically and mentally active.
